Flos split its Milan Design Week 2026 programme across two addresses on Corso Monforte. At the Flos Professional Space at number 15, a curated installation launched Nocturne, a new collection of modular lamps by the German designer Konstantin Grcic.
Flos says the name is inspired by the subtle glow of the moon. Nocturne casts both direct and indirect light to create an ethereal atmosphere.
A few doors away, at the Flos Flagship Store at number 9, Erwan Bouroullec introduced Maap, a sculptural wall lamp that can be moulded by hand. Both shows ran from 21 to 26 April.
Read together, the two launches point in the same direction: light that is built from simple parts, either assembled in modules or shaped by hand.
