How CEELOU handles personal data. Last updated 1 November 2026.
CEELOU is published by VEDETTEN nv, Zandstraat 2, 8300 Knokke-Heist, Belgium, enterprise number BE 0650.802.890. VEDETTEN nv is the controller for the personal data described below. For any question about this policy or your data, write to press@ceelou.com.
Visiting the site. When you open a page, your browser sends technical data to our hosting provider, such as your IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time of the request. This is needed to deliver the site and keep it secure. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in running a working, safe website (GDPR art. 6.1.f).
Analytics, only with your consent. If you accept analytics in the cookie banner, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand which stories are read and how visitors find us. Google Analytics then sets cookies and processes data such as an online identifier, pages visited, approximate location and device information. If you decline, Google Analytics is not loaded at all. Legal basis: your consent (GDPR art. 6.1.a), which you can withdraw at any time.
Writing to us. If you email us, for example as a house or press office, we use your name, email address and message to reply and to keep in touch about press material. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in handling correspondence and press relations (GDPR art. 6.1.f).
We do not sell personal data, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not build profiles of individual readers.
The site stores your cookie choice in your browser's local storage, so the banner does not reappear on every page. This is strictly necessary and needs no consent.
Analytics cookies from Google (names starting with _ga) are only placed after you accept them. You can change your choice at any time through the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page, or by clearing your browser's site data.
Webflow, Inc. (United States) hosts the website and processes the technical data needed to deliver it.
Google (Google Ireland Limited and Google LLC) provides the web fonts used on the site, which means your browser connects to Google's servers to load them, and provides Google Analytics if you consent to it.
Some of these providers process data in the United States. Where that happens, transfers rely on the safeguards provided by law, such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
Analytics data is kept for a maximum of 14 months. Correspondence is kept for as long as it is useful for our press relations, and deleted on request. Technical hosting data is kept by our hosting provider for the limited period it needs for security and operations.
You can ask for access to your personal data, and for it to be corrected, deleted, restricted or handed over to you. You can object to processing based on our legitimate interest, and you can withdraw your consent for analytics at any time, without affecting what happened before. Send your request to press@ceelou.com and we will answer within one month.
If you believe we handle your data incorrectly, you can lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority (Gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit / Autorité de protection des données), Drukpersstraat 35, 1000 Brussels, www.dataprotectionauthority.be.
We may update this policy when the site or the law changes. The date at the top always shows the latest version.
